[2017-10-25] / Plenary Meeting "Strategies of Russia’s Regions: Contributing to 2030 Global Agenda and Achieving 17 Sustainable Development Goals": Voting Results

The second day of the Strategic Planning Forum 2017 started on October 24 with the plenary meeting "Strategies of Russia’s Regions: Contributing to 2030 Global Agenda and Achieving 17 Sustainable Development Goals", moderated by Alexey Kudrin, Chairman of the Council at Centre for Strategic Research. The plenary meeting included summing up the voting results divided into two blocks of questions.  

The Forum participants continued to select Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are the most important for the development of regions and cities of Russia. The voting was launched on the Forum first day at the plenary meeting "Prologue. Program Review" on October 23. Participants asked to choose five important goals out of seventeen.

According to the Forum participants, priority development goals for cities and regions of Russia are as follows: decent work and economic growth (66%), good health and well-being (63%), quality education (54%), industry, innovation and infrastructure (41%), sustainable cities and communities (41%).

Within the second vote the audience answered the question "Do the Strategies of Russian regions consider and correspond to SDGs?". Voting results: 44% - Yes, but it could be more; 36% - No, we need to take it seriously. The responses "Yes, we are on the right path" and "No need, we have our own problems" received the minimum number of votes.
