14 participants admitted to semifinals of City Strategies Contest 2017 to be held at the Strategic Planning Forum on October 23-24 in St. Petersburg. According to an amendment to the Сontest Statement of September 11, semifinals will be held in two groups entitled Capital Cities of Federal Subjects and Non-Capital Cities of Federal Subjects. The first group includes cities of Volgograd, Kazan, Saratov, Stavropol, Tomsk, Perm and Ulyanovsk. The second group includes Angarsky and Sorochinsky Urban Districts, as well as cities of Dimitrovgrad, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Sarapul, Surgut, and Nizhnevartovsk.

Two semifinals will be held in St. Petersburg. Four selected contestants from each group will meet in two finals during the International Forum "Cities of Russia 2030: Crossroads of Opportunities" (November 15-16, Yekaterinburg) to decide on the winner of each group.
